It’s great that all these many years later they are able to offer this innovative Pro-Tech Whiskers collaboration knife based on Mike’s fantastic bolster release mechanism. Upon first glance there is nothing about the BR-1 to make you suspect it’s an automatic knife (no button of course). The BOLSTER section of the handle slides up – this very deliberate movement is what fires the blade open and also unlocks it from the open position.
